Com\u00fanmente recurrimos a snacks y alimentos envasados o empaquetados, comidas congeladas o embutidos comerciales, sin pensar mucho en el impacto que podr\u00edan tener en nuestra salud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pero la verdad es que los alimentos ultraprocesados no s\u00f3lo son poco saludables; tambi\u00e9n son adictivos. Ni los anuncios ni sus empaques te lo dir\u00e1n, pero est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para activar los centros de recompensa del cerebro, lo que dificulta que las personas dejen de consumirlos. Despu\u00e9s de todo, si lo pensamos solo un poco, las empresas los crean para ganar dinero, antes que para nutrinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por ejemplo, un estudio publicado en la revista cient\u00edfica Nutrients encontr\u00f3 que consumir alimentos ultraprocesados con regularidad puede provocar cambios en la qu\u00edmica del cerebro, aumentando los antojos y la ingesta de alimentos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qu\u00e9 los hace alimentos ultraprocesados<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entonces, para empezar \u00bfqu\u00e9 son exactamente los alimentos ultraprocesados? Se trata de productos alimenticios fabricados industrialmente a partir de una variedad de ingredientes, incluidos conservantes y potenciadores del sabor a\u00f1adidos (por ejemplo glutamato monos\u00f3dico o MSG). Estos \u00abalimentos\u00bb suelen incluir alto contenido de sustancias nocivas para la salud, como az\u00facares a\u00f1adidos, <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/8oxERULnI28?si=AF0micw3EBk_uDZt\">aceites hidrogenados<\/a> y sal, as\u00ed como un bajo contenido de nutrientes esenciales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pr\u00e1cticamente cualquier alimento que venga en una caja, en un envase o en una bolsa y que puede durar mucho tiempo en el anaquel del supermercado, es un alimento ultraprocesado. Algunos expertos inclusive los denominan \u00abproductos-como-alimento\u00bb o \u00abproductos alimenticios\u00bb, para diferenciarlos de los alimentos naturales o m\u00ednimamente procesados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El impacto de los alimentos ultraprocesados<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El consumo regular de estos productos alimenticios se ha relacionado con un mayor riesgo de enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas como <a href=\"https:\/\/nelsonrazo.com\/nutricion\/2024\/01\/10\/la-obesidad-como-una-enfermedad-mas-alla-del-exceso-de-peso\/\">obesidad<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/nelsonrazo.com\/nutricion\/2024\/07\/29\/la-diabetes-tipo-2-no-es-lo-que-crees\/\">diabetes<\/a> y enfermedades card\u00edacas. Tambi\u00e9n se asocia con problemas de salud mental, como ansiedad y <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ENraILhTzMA?si=q4hPWOTQ5KWEOb9l\">depresi\u00f3n<\/a>. La clave est\u00e1 en centrarnos en alimentos integrales y no procesados, como carnes, verduras, y <a href=\"https:\/\/nelsonrazo.com\/nutricion\/2024\/02\/25\/comer-frutas-y-verduras-en-realidad-saludable\/\">unas cuantas frutas<\/a>, leguminosas y cereales integrales. Estos alimentos proporcionan nutrientes esenciales, antioxidantes y fibra que fomentan la salud metab\u00f3lica y general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pero, adem\u00e1s de elegir alimentos m\u00e1s saludables, tambi\u00e9n es importante desarrollar h\u00e1bitos alimenticios conscientes.
