Si no lo sabes, ya escrib\u00ed al respecto.<\/p>\n<p>El branding de lugar es precisamente el concepto de marca aplicado a un pa\u00eds, regi\u00f3n o ciudad. Es por esto que com\u00fanmente nos encontramos este t\u00e9rmino como branding de ciudad (city branding). Sin embrago, nunca debemos dejar de lado que de la misma forma se aplica a pa\u00edses enteros.<\/p>\n<p>B\u00e1sicamente es el proceso de dise\u00f1ar estrategias y llevar a cabo actividades para promover la imagen de un lugar a un mercado meta. Ese mercado meta puede ser desde un sector espec\u00edfico de la regi\u00f3n o el pa\u00eds, hasta el mundo en general.<\/p>\n<p>El branding de ciudad pr\u00e1cticamente ha existido de una forma u otra desde hace siglos, aunque en gran parte de manera no planeada. Pero \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 es un t\u00e9rmino que hasta hace unos a\u00f1os se ha hecho m\u00e1s popular?<\/p>\n<p>Por una sola raz\u00f3n: la globalizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h3>El Branding de lugar ya casi es obligatorio<\/h3>\n<p>El avance de la tecnolog\u00eda y la globalizaci\u00f3n de las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas ha sometido ya no solo a marcas comerciales y empresas a lidiar cada vez m\u00e1s competencia, sino tambi\u00e9n a las propias comunidades y pa\u00edses, los cuales de una forma u otra compiten con sus vecinos y su no tan vecinos por turismo, inversi\u00f3n, recursos y hasta por gente.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s espec\u00edficamente el branding de lugar es el proceso por el cual las administraciones p\u00fablicas intentan crear marca para su regi\u00f3n, redes de asociaci\u00f3n en las mentes de los grupos mercado meta basadas en las expresiones visuales, verbales y de comportamiento del lugar.<\/p>\n<p>Es decir que un branding de lugar no se logra solamente con crear una bonita identidad o una campa\u00f1a de mercadotecnia sobre la ciudad, pueblo o regi\u00f3n a proyectarse, sino que implica tanto comunicaci\u00f3n como valores, la cultura general del lugar, incluyendo el territorio f\u00edsico y la colaboraci\u00f3n de la comunidad y la iniciativa privada.<\/p>\n<p>En pocas palabras, es la estrategia de un gobierno para proyectar lo mejor de la imagen y manejar las percepciones sobre una ciudad, regi\u00f3n o pa\u00eds, de manera que retribuya en el desarrollo del lugar en algunos o varios aspectos.<\/p>\n<p>Sobra explicar que los beneficios de que un gobierno implemente y administre el banding correcto de un lugar tiene muchas ventajas, que van desde el reconocimiento del lugar en el pa\u00eds o el mundo, hasta el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico, cultural y social de todos sus habitantes.<\/p>\n<p>Incontables son ya los ejemplos de lugares del mundo que se han convertido casi de la noche a la ma\u00f1ana en destinos muy buscados en cuanto a turismo e inversi\u00f3n internacional.<\/p>\n<h3>Algunos proyectos destacados<\/h3>\n<p>Ya existen muchos ejemplos de ciudades y pa\u00edses en el mundo que se han beneficiado de la correcta aplicaci\u00f3n del branding de lugar.
